Stop being âsorry not sorryâ⦠Although saying sorry is undoubtedly essential in some situations, itâs a phrase that can be prone to overuse â" especially if youâre guilty of saying it for all the wrong reasons. And it isnât just a lack of sincerity that could give you grounds to skip the apologies.To help you understand when you should (and shouldnât) say it, here are six times saying sorry at work is a bad idea:1. When youâre not really sorry Letâs face it, youâre not always going to mean it when you say sorry.Aside from actually being something we say to genuinely apologise â" it can also be used in the hope that itâll make a problem go away, or to get your boss off your back. But hey, they donât know that, right? Wrong.In other words, if your apology is insincere â" your boss is going to be able to tell.And what happened to the boy who cried wolf sorry? Everyone stopped believing him â" even in situatio ns when an apology was genuine. So not only does it affect your credibility, constant overuse could also lessen the effect it has going forward.So, to make sure youâre not sabotaging the sincerity of every future apology, only ever say sorry when you actually mean it.2. When you donât have anything to be sorry for The word sorry is often a product of habit.But whether you use it as a filler, youâre apologising for someone elseâs mistake, or you just want to make what youâre saying seem more polite, it shouldnât be an uninvited guest that shows up in every conversation.So before you say sorry without thinking â" ask yourself; do I have anything to be sorry for?For example, you donât need to say sorry for going to the bathroom, but you do need to say sorry for spilling your coffee on your colleagueâs lap.In situations where an apology isnât actually warranted, simply replace it with an equally polite but more fitting word or phrase (like âexcuse meâ). That way, youâre not going to risk sounding uncertain and/or apologetic about what youâre about to do.3. When youâre pointing out an invisible problem AKA the pre-emptive apology â" commonly said before anything has happened, often by excessive worriers.For example, perhaps youâre just about to start a presentation. You didnât have much time to work on it so youâre worried the quality isnât great â" so before beginning you apologise to your colleagues, hoping theyâll âbear with youâ.This could two possible reactions; youâll either come across as if you need reassurance (as youâre not confident in your ability) or youâll simply set yourself up for failure by planting a seed a doubt in their minds.And letâs face it, if you say nothing at all â" the chances of anyone even noticing any mistakes or slip ups are likely to be reduced.4. When you need help Asking for help is an inevitable part of work, especially if youâre new to a job.So why should you say sorry if y ou need it?As long as you ask your manager or colleague in a polite and friendly manner (allowing them to decide whether theyâve got the time to spare), thereâs no reason your request warrants an apology.However, if you find that the task has taken longer than you thought, or it ended up being more complex than you realised â" saying sorry might be the most polite thing to do. Just do your best to gauge the situation, ensuring you donât take their help for granted.Remember: youâre shouldnât need to apologise for reaching out for help. Especially when itâs likely to make you better at your job.5. When you know youâre doing the right thing A sudden lack of confidence can often bring on unnecessary âsorriesâ.Whether you feel the need to apologise for sharing your (opposing) opinion in a meeting, or youâre in charge of making a business decision that isnât necessarily everyoneâs number one choice â" you shouldnât need to say sorry for your professional belief s.In fact, the best business people are likely to avoid backing down in situations like these.Saying sorry for having an opinion (or changing it based on others), will only reduce the level of authority you hold â" and cause people to doubt your opinions in the future. And, phrases like âsorry but I donât agreeâ also have a defensive tone which youâre better off avoiding.So learn to speak confidently at work, and you might be surprised at the positive reaction you get.6. When you take a day offTaking time off work can often induce unnecessary guilt.And what follows unnecessary guilt? Usually, an unnecessary apology, whether itâs for leaving your boss short-staffed, delaying a deadline, missing a meeting, or whatever else.But no matter what your reason for taking a day off is (from holiday to sickness) â" you shouldnât have to say sorry. In fact, youâre entitled to both holiday and sick days, so thereâs no need to feel bad about taking them.The same goes for attempt ing to do work whilst youâre away. Why are MMORPGs not included in eSports The eSports are the official circuit of tournaments and organized competitions that take place in some multiplayer videogame and where only professionals can participate. In these competitions professional players (called Pro Gamers) compete with each other in order to demonstrate that their skills, reflexes and stamina are superior to that of their competitors, this is also accompanied by the desire to win prestige and great monetary rewards. As in conventional sports, eSports involve highly trained players or teams, with the main difference that they compete through a videogame. Normally in the eSports are present online multiplayer games that have high popularity and great competitive aspects, these videogames usually have a gameplay where the teams of players fight against each other online in closed arenas. The eSports started in an authentic way in the beginning of the year 2000 with the Starcaft videogame, and since then, the strategy games in real time were the most common in the eSports, but since the year 2010 the videogames of the genre MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena), and the first person shooting games (FPS) are the most outstanding and played of the eSports nowadays. Despite this, in almost all videogames that have great competitive skills you can find spectators and a professional environment dedicated to these games. So nowadays any competitive videogame genre can be suitable for eSports, the important thing is that their games are entertaining and exciting for the viewer. The eSports have managed to revolutionize the videogame industry and have managed to be one of the major trends in the current Gaming topic, and according to various studies, the eSports have approximately 400 million viewers per year, and also manage to generate more than 500 million dollars annually through media rights, tickets, advertising and sponsorships. With all this clear, it is quite obvious that eSports are very important in the economic development of videogames, but there is an important genre that eSports have tried to avoid almost completely, these are the MMORPG games. The games of this genre are multiplayer and competitive, so in theory, MMORPG seems to fit perfectly with eSports. So why arent these MMORPGs accepted in eSports? The reason for this is quite logical and has a good explanation. The limitations of MMORPG with viewers For context, World of Warcraft, the worlds most popular MMORPG, should be mentioned. In 2007 WoW got a Player vs. Player mode because Blizzard realized the potential of tournaments to attract new crowds. For a while WoW was one of the games present in eSports and became very popular among spectators and competitors, but this didnt last long. In 2010, Major League Gaming, the highest authority in eSports tournaments, removed World of Warcraft from its list of games; this was due to the problematic system that this game had to watch the games as a spectator. Although WoW is the most popular MMORPG of all, it can be seen on platforms like Twitch that the number of spectators that can reach the WoW games, cant compare to the millions of viewers of MOBA videogames (such as League of Legends), and Battle Royale (such as Fortnite). It should be noted that WoW has never managed to be in the Top 10 of the most viewed games of Twitch, nor any other MMORPG. WoWs most popular Streamers claim that the main reason for this is that people dont watch World of Warcraft because theyre interested in games, what they really want is to see how high level players play, so they can improve their own game. The element Player vs. Player Its important to keep in mind that MMORPG are videogames whose gameplay is usually slow and its basic premise is not something very exciting for spectators, and eSports are based on games that spectators enjoy watching, if thats not achieved, then the game is not compatible. The games based on a battle Player vs. Player are the most attractive for the spectators. But MMORPGs arent normally developed with the competitive mode in mind and focus more on exploration, missions and other more cooperative activities. The real essence of MMORPGs is player battles against computer-controlled enemies, or against the game itself. This aspect represents a problem for MMORPGs wishing to position themselves in the world of eSports. For MMORPG developer companies know that this genre depends a lot on its content and incorporating new things for players to explore is important to keep their community happy and lively, because of this, developers avoid focusing on other elements such as the Player vs. Player. Character development in MMORPGs Another important disadvantage that avoids the appearance of MMORPG games in the eSports is everything related to the items, the equipment and the progression of the characters in this type of games. Gathering items and experience to improve the skills and attributes of a character is the basic element of all RPG, but being superior to other players just for having a certain item does not work in sports. The eSports are based more on defeating opponents through good strategies, reflexes and skills, not by possessing a better weapon. To all this must be added that the level of the characters gives much advantage to the players, because the more you have, the more skills are acquired. Thanks to this aspect, veteran players have an immense advantage over any newcomer, and as a result, prevent the game from getting any competitive community that is growing. Many MMORPG players also buy the currencies of these games through real money, for example: There are a lot of websites where players can buy World of Warcraft Gold, and every player of this game knows the great importance of having large amounts of WoW Gold in the coexistence of this game. On the other hand, it is also not possible to limit the players with the option to choose a character in which they have invested time and even money, and then restore their characteristics every time they play a game Player vs. Player. This works in MOBA, where each character has predetermined capabilities, but not in an MMORPG where players create their own custom characters from scratch. In short, eSports have completely revolutionized videogame competitions, and the MMORPG genre has managed to transcend as one of the most emblematic in the history of videogames, but thanks to the totally distant characteristics that each has, compatibility between them is extremely difficult to achieve.

Broadcasting company culture Itâs so important that new hires are a great cultural fit. This is one of the big tasks that recruiters face when evaluating applicants, but broadcasting your company values on your YouTube channel gives candidates an opportunity to self select and work out whether theyâre a good fit. Shoe retailing giant Zappos, renowned as having one of the strongest and most alternative company cultures around (they refer to executives as monkeys), consistently uses YouTube to show off all the extra stuff that makes it such a great place to work. Employee testimonials Candidates donât want to read swathes of text on your careers site on how great your company is, they want to see and engage with people that they might actually be working with. Employee testimonials, if theyâre done well, are a fantastic way to help people understand what life is really like at your company. An applicant for your marketing team gets far more value out of a 2 minute video interview of a junior marketer than your website âAbout Usâ page. These videos need to be on your careers site, but they should also be hosted on your companyâs YouTube channel â" easily accessible for anyone looking for more information on your brand. 4. Creative hiring campaigns The very best candidates can be tricky to unearth, so many top recruiters are turning to more unconventional methods of recruitment, often using YouTube videos (that they hope will go viral). Writing a Resume For Entry Level PositionThere are two main questions you should ask yourself when writing a resume for entry level position. The first is how much experience do you have? Is your resume going to show that you have been in this position before?So which skills should you put on your resume? You need to know that the entry-level position you are applying for will have some type of skill requirement. As a former university employee I needed to know what kind of skills I was looking for when I filled out my job application. Although it may be difficult at first, having to think about the skills on your resume will help you in the long run.I had been researching resumes before I started writing mine. It was important to find a resume writing service who would get back to me within 24 hours after my application. And I want a writing service that could help me in the way of first impressions, because I did not want to look as if I was not serious about the position. This is especially true if I am applying for an entry level position where there is no higher level qualification.So what should I put on my resume for entry level position? First, I have two examples of positions where I had worked. One was in the supermarket where I received direct sales training, and the other was a store manager where I helped teach sales training and sales management. Knowing what to put on my resume for entry level position will help me when filling out my application.When I send my resume to them, they usually prepare my cover letter, which is almost always a necessity. I usually also have to add a resume objective or a skill profile. The latter is a list of skills that I believe I possess that will help me fit in with the store.Writing a resume for entry level position can seem hard at first, but once you start writing you will start to understand that it can be easy. The time spent when writing your resume should include research, thinking about your strengths and weaknesses, and writing your skill descriptions. Some people find it easier to write a resume by themselves, but this should not be your option.Since I do not have much experience when it comes to writing a resume, I decided to hire someone to write my resume for me. I have had wonderful experiences with them and have had other job applicants e-mail them and offer their resumes. I found out that there are companies out there that are more than willing to take on someone with little or no experience, and in fact, I believe they offer the job to people with less than the minimum requirements.Resume writing for entry level positions is no different than any other job. However, for those of us with very little experience or with little job experience at all, it is nice to know that we can find a company out there that will help us.
